At Associated Forwarding, Inc., we don't just move boxes; we manage the lifecycle of your global commerce. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between the shipper and the forwarder. By booking transit with us, you're agreeing to the operational protocols defined herein.
1. Scope of Service & Freight Forwarding
We're acting as your agent for the arrangement of transportation. This includes selecting carriers, calculating transit insurance, and managing delivery schedules through our verified network.
Have you considered the implications of carrier limitations? Our role is to optimize the route, but liability is governed by international conventions including CMR and Cogsa.
2. Cargo Liability & Transit Insurance
While we maintain a strict standard of care, Associated Forwarding, Inc. is not an insurer. Shippers are strongly encouraged to secure separate transit insurance for high-value freight.
- Liability is capped based on weight unless otherwise declared in writing.
- Claims must be filed within 14 days of delivery.
- Natural disasters and "Acts of God" are excluded from standard carrier liability.
3. Warehousing Facilities
Stored goods at 5801 Rolling Rd Ste B are subject to specific warehouseman lien rights. We're committed to security, yet bailment laws limit our direct exposure to inventory fluctuations.
